Why Detox?
August 20th, 2009 by admin

Ill-health is our body’s way of telling us that something is causing an obstruction or not working efficiently.
Remember that the human body is the most complicated and sophisticated machine in existence…every disease or infliction is a crucial signal that something needs to be changed or removed. Detoxing and clearing the body of negativity is a proven way of removing these health obstructions and it is important to detox the body and mind to avoid developing health afflictions.
Every day, we are exposed to external toxins from our environment. Toxic and inorganic chemicals are found in our foods, water and air in the form of pesticides, heavy metals and fertilisers.
In both home and work environments, we are exposed to paint and carpet fumes – plastic containers, to dry-cleaned clothes to skin and hair care products literally bombard our bodies with unwanted pollutants that can be harmful to our health. When the body has been over-consumed by toxic substances over a long period of time, it loses its ability to detoxify efficiently.
It is widely claimed that this prolonged state of toxicity undermines cellular and organ function and is the underlying cause of many chronic diseases and afflictions.

Detoxification has a beneficial effect on most chronic diseases because it has an impact on nearly all body systems; immune, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, reproductive, urinary, muscles, skin and skeletal systems.

Detoxification is highly recommended for individuals who have:

  • Chronic Headaches
  • Allergies
  • Digestive problems
  • Skin conditions
  • Poor lifestyle
  • Bad/fatty diet
  • PMS
  • High cholesterol
  • Symptoms of toxicity (bad body odour/bad breath)
  • Taking medications/antibiotics/HRT
  • High incidence of cancer in the family
  • Impaired liver/gallbladder function
